Julian Teran was born in 1977 in La Plata, Argentina and currently lives and works in Buenos Aires. He graduated from the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes Prilidiano Pueyrredón, and was trained at workshops with Fabiana Barreda and Rodrigo Alonso, amongst other artists. He is a visual artist and renowned composer who fuses together Argentine folk rythms with electronic music.
Teran's work has been the subject of many solo and group exhibitions internationally at Artemisa Gallery in New York, Centro Cultural San Martin in Buenos Aires, Centro Cultural Recoleta in Buenos Aires, Museo Municipal Urbano Poggi in Rafaela, Santa Fe. His work has been featured in museum group exhibitions internationally including at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Rosario (MACRO), Museo Castagnino in Buenos Aires. In 2011 he completed several projects including an extensive solo exhibition at the Museo J.R. Vidal de Corrientes, Argentina and a large scale mural at the Museo de Arte Moderno in Buenos Aires.
