The Never Ending Line: Miriam Peralta & Julián Terán

September 15 – October 31, 2023

Artemisa Gallery is pleased to present The Never Ending Line,  an online show with artists Miriam Peralta and Julián Terán.

Miriam Peralta prefers mediums of graphite, ink, pencil or pastel to masterfully render trademark spirals resembling human DNA. Her hand-drawn network of Tangram-like shapes, mingled with calligraphy, trace a visual path that acts as a cognitive exercise of the philosophical rhythm of life, that builds and swells as it calms and returns. Viewers’ eye can instantly disentangle a backlog of information encrypted over time and stored through the process of evolution while viewing her work.

Julián Terán fuses Argentine folk rhythms with electronic music through his free-hand drawings. He produces a musicality in his delicate and meticulous tracing that echoes throughout illusionary three-dimensional terrains. His metaphorical connections and reverberation of aesthetic creates a dialogue between natural landscapes and its rhythm.
